How to use
Add your PNG images
Drop a folder onto the box above, or press Select images. Up to 200 at a time; they stay on your machine.
Check the background
Transparent images are marked. Pick white, black or light grey to go behind them in the JPG.
Convert and download
Each image lists its old and new size. Take one, or the whole batch as a ZIP.
When PNG is the wrong format
PNG is lossless: it stores every pixel exactly, which is perfect for logos and screenshots and wasteful for photographs. A photo saved as PNG — from a phone screenshot, a design app or an export with the wrong setting — is often 3 to 10 times the size of a JPG that looks identical. Converting a batch to JPG brings the files down to a size email, upload forms and online shops accept.
Transparency and the background colour
PNG can be transparent; JPG cannot. This page fills transparent areas with white by default — what a product photo on a marketplace needs — lets you choose black or light grey instead, and shows which images are affected before anything runs, so nothing turns black by surprise.
Quality
The JPG quality starts at 82%, visually the same as the original on a screen; move the slider for smaller files or finer detail. To aim for a size limit in KB, run the JPGs through the bulk image compressor. For graphics that should stay PNG but get smaller, use compress PNG instead.
Other conversions
This page is the bulk image converter opened on JPG. The same batch can go to WebP, AVIF or ICO, and the reverse is on the JPG to PNG page.
Frequently asked questions
- Why convert PNG to JPG?
- A PNG of a photograph is often several times larger than a JPG that looks the same, because PNG keeps every pixel exactly. JPG is the format upload forms, email and most websites expect for photos, so converting makes the files smaller and accepted everywhere.
- What happens to a transparent PNG?
- JPG cannot be transparent, so the transparent areas are filled — with white by default, or black or light grey if you choose. The page marks which images have transparency before you convert. For a logo that must stay transparent, keep it as PNG or convert to WebP.
- Will my screenshots and logos look worse?
- JPG suits photographs. Sharp text, flat colours and thin lines can show faint blotches around the edges in a JPG, so for screenshots and graphics a better route to a smaller file is the PNG compressor, which keeps them as PNG.
- Are my images uploaded?
- No. The conversion runs in your browser; the images never leave your computer. That is why there is no account and no limit on how often you use it.
